Welcome to Bitzo. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the Bitzo mobile application and our associated services.
1. Information We Collect
To provide high-quality food delivery services, we collect the following types of information:
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, and delivery address.
- Precise Location Data: We collect precise location data to allow delivery tracking, calculate delivery distance, and show nearby restaurants.
- Transaction Data: Details of orders you place, items purchased, and total amount spent.
- Device Information: Device ID, model, operating system, and IP address for security and app performance monitoring.
Important (Location Disclosure): Bitzo collects location data to enable "Live Order Tracking" and "Nearby Restaurant Discovery" even when the app is in use. We do not track your location in the background unless you have an active order being delivered.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your information is used for the following purposes:
- To process and deliver your food orders accurately.
- To provide real-time updates via push notifications.
- To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent transactions and unauthorized access.
- To improve our app’s user interface and overall experience.
3. Data Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share data with:
- Restaurants: Your name and order details so they can prepare your meal.
- Delivery Partners: Your name, phone number, and address to ensure the order reaches your doorstep.
- Service Providers: Secure partners like Firebase (Google) for database hosting and Razorpay/Stripe for payment processing.
4. Data Safety & Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL encryption and secure Firebase protocols, to protect your data during transmission and at rest. All online payments are processed through encrypted gateways, and Bitzo does not store your card details or UPI PINs on its servers.
5. Account Deletion & Data Retention
Google Play Store policy requires us to provide users with a clear way to delete their accounts. At Bitzo, we offer two ways to do this:
- In-App Deletion: Go to Profile > Delete Account to submit a request.
- Web-Based Deletion: If you cannot access the app, you can submit a deletion request through our web portal:

Upon deletion, your personal profile, saved addresses, and active coupons are permanently removed from our active database. Transactional records may be kept for legal audit purposes for a period defined by Indian law.
6. Children’s Privacy
Bitzo is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be notified to you via the app or email. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
